Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when booking services, applying as a Partner, or using the platform:
- Account & Contact: name, phone, email, billing address
- Booking Details: service location, date, time, requirements
- Partner Information: company name, DPS license, insurance, personnel details
- Field Activity: timestamped photos, GPS coordinates, check-in records (for Partner personnel on-duty)
- Payment: processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers
- Communications: messages sent through our encrypted channels
- Device & Usage: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, usage patterns
2. How We Use Information
- To match Customers with Partners and facilitate bookings
- To process payments and payouts
- To verify Partner credentials with Texas DPS
- To improve and secure the platform
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
- To send service-related notifications (booking confirmations, status updates)
3. GPS & Location Data (Partner Personnel)
Partner personnel using our mobile app may share GPS location while on-duty. Texas Penal Code § 16.06 requires written consent for tracking; Partners agree to obtain consent from their personnel as part of the Partner Agreement. Location data is retained only as necessary to document service delivery and for the period required by Partners' record-keeping obligations.
4. End-to-End Encrypted Communications
Messages sent through our in-app channels are end-to-end encrypted. We cannot read message content. Metadata (sender, recipient, timestamp) is retained for safety and legal compliance.
5. Sharing
We share information only as needed:
- With Partners: Customer contact and booking details to enable service delivery
- With Customers: Partner identity and personnel info for their booking
- Service providers: payment processing (Stripe), background checks, SMS/email delivery
- Legal compliance: when required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data Retention
We retain booking and Partner records for the longer of: (a) 3 years (Texas DPS record-keeping requirement), (b) the duration of an active dispute or investigation, or (c) as required by applicable law.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transport (TLS), encrypted storage of sensitive data, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure; in the event of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with Texas Business & Commerce Code § 521.
8. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing privacy@security.gift. We will respond within 30 days. Some information must be retained for legal or safety reasons even after a deletion request.
9. Children
The platform is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect.
